Yoga At Divya Prema
Yoga offers a way of listening to yourself that goes beyond words. Through movement, breath, stillness and meditation, it creates space to notice what is happening within you and to respond with greater compassion and awareness
Why Kundalini and Restorative Yoga?
These two practices complement one another beautifully.
Kundalini Yoga invites movement, awareness and exploration. Through breath, meditation and dynamic movement, it encourages you to notice what is present within you and gently awaken new possibilities.
Restorative Yoga offers the space to pause. Through stillness and deeply supported postures, it allows your body and mind to settle, creating the opportunity to rest, reflect and integrate your experiences.
Together, they create a balanced practice of both exploration and restoration helping you build a more compassionate relationship with yourself while navigating the changing seasons of life. Whether you're new to yoga or have an established practice, my classes are designed to meet you where you are.
How Restorative Yoga Can Support You
Restorative Yoga is a slow, supportive practice designed to help the body settle and the mind soften.
Using props such as bolsters, blankets and cushions, the body is fully supported in restful positions. This creates a sense of safety and ease, allowing you to release physical tension and spend time in stillness without effort or strain.
Rather than being about achievement or flexibility, Restorative Yoga invites you to slow down and notice what is present within you. Over time, this can support a greater sense of steadiness, ease and self-awareness.
The nervous system responds well to repetition and consistency. Even a few minutes in a supported posture, practiced regularly, can help create small but meaningful shifts in how you experience stress and rest in everyday life. Restorative Yoga can also be a supportive practice alongside psychotherapy, particularly during times of emotional overwhelm, transition or fatigue.
How Kundalini Yoga Can Support You
Kundalini Yoga combines movement, breath, meditation and mantra to support both body and mind. It can help you slow down, regulate your energy, develop greater self-awareness and create space to notice what is unfolding within you.
Rather than striving to become someone different, this practice offers an opportunity to listen more closely to yourself. Over time, it can support greater resilience, clarity and a deeper understanding of your thoughts, emotions and patterns.
Yoga can sometimes bring emotions, memories or new insights to the surface. While this can be an important part of the process, it can also leave us wondering what it all means or how to make sense of what we're experiencing. For women looking for deeper support, I offer The Transition Pathway an integrated programme combining six Art Psychotherapy sessions with three months of online yoga membership. Together, psychotherapy and yoga provide a compassionate, continuous approach to understanding yourself and navigating life's transitions with greater clarity, care and confidence.
