Hello.

"I support women through life's transitions by bringing together the depth of psychotherapy and the wisdom of yoga. As an Art Psychotherapist and Yoga Teacher, I offer a compassionate, relational space where you can feel seen, heard and gently supported as you come to understand yourself more deeply. I'm here to walk alongside you as you navigate change and begin to feel more at home in yourself"

I'm Danielle Devin, founder of Divya Prema, a therapeutic practice created to support women through life's transitions with compassion, curiosity and care. I am an Art Psychotherapist and Yoga Teacher based in Scotland, offering online Art Psychotherapy for adults across Scotland, the UK and Europe, alongside online and in-person yoga classes that support rest, resilience and emotional wellbeing. Divya Prema was born from a lifelong vision of bringing together psychotherapy, yoga and creativity.

I believe that every stage of life asks something different of us. Sometimes we're called to let go of who we've been, before we've discovered who we're becoming. My work is about creating a space where that transition can be met with curiosity, compassion and support rather than pressure or self-judgement

My Approach

My work is shaped by more than 15 years of experience as an Art Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor and Yoga Teacher. Over the years, I've come to appreciate that meaningful psychological work isn't only about talking. Our experiences are held not only in our thoughts, but also in our bodies, relationships and the ways we move through the world.

That's why my approach brings together psychotherapy, creativity and embodied practices to support a deeper understanding of yourself during life's transitions. Rather than trying to fix who you are, this work invites curiosity, compassion and a different relationship with the parts of yourself that may feel overwhelmed, uncertain or disconnected.

I integrate:

  • Art Psychotherapy – exploring thoughts, emotions and life experiences through talking and creative expression (no artistic experience is needed).

  • Kundalini and Restorative Yoga – supporting emotional balance, rest and a more compassionate relationship with your body.

  • Breath, movement and meditation – gentle practices that help create space for regulation, reflection and self-awareness.

  • Spiritual exploration – available for those who wish to include this dimension in their therapeutic journey, always led by your own beliefs and experiences.

A little about me

Like many of the women I work with, I've experienced times when life no longer felt familiar. I've navigated burnout, grief, loneliness and a loss of belonging, and I understand how unsettling it can be when the life that once fitted no longer does.

Those experiences haven't given me the answers for anyone else, but they have deepened my capacity to sit alongside people with empathy, curiosity and compassion as they find their own.

What I've learned is this

Over the years, I've learned that meaningful change doesn't always happen through words alone.

Sometimes it's found in a breath. A movement. A moment of being truly met.

The spaces I offer are rooted in presence, compassion and truth, whether we meet in psychotherapy, yoga or a group workshop. A place where your body can rest, your inner wisdom can be heard, and you can begin to understand yourself with greater gentleness and compassion.

Art Psychotherapy

In Art Psychotherapy, I work collaboratively with clients to explore the images, symbols and themes that emerge through their creative process. Art can offer a way of expressing experiences that are not yet fully formed in words, allowing aspects of the self to be seen, felt and understood in a different way.

Through gentle reflection and dialogue, this process supports greater emotional awareness and a deeper understanding of your inner world.

Together, Divya Prema speaks to the possibility of meeting yourself with compassion through every stage of life.

How this work began

The seed for Divya Prema was planted through my own lived experience of change, loss and self-discovery.

Over time, I began to understand not just in theory but through experience how powerful it is when psychotherapy, creativity and embodied practice are brought together.

I often found myself asking why these ways of working were still held separately, when in practice they so naturally support one another. Divya Prema grew from that question. It is an extension of my ongoing work, a way of bringing together everything I have learned through training, clinical practice and lived experience.

I am a professionally trained Art Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor with extensive experience supporting children, young people and adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, grief, low self-esteem, stress, loneliness and life transitions.

Alongside my psychotherapy training, I am a qualified Kundalini Yoga Teacher, 300-hour training with the  Kundalini Yoga School and have completed additional training in Restorative Yoga with Eva Hamilton at Source Yoga.

My work is also informed by training in Reiki (Level 1 & 2). â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

"Engaging in art psychotherapy with Danielle was a lifeline for me during one of the most emotionally complex periods of my life. The grief I was experiencing wasn’t due to a death, and because of that, it was often misunderstood — dismissed or minimized by others who couldn’t see the depth of what I was carrying. Danielle offered a safe space to express what I couldn’t find words for. It allowed me to bypass the need to intellectualise my pain and instead feel it, see it, and ultimately, begin to heal it. Through creative expression, I was able to reconnect with parts of myself that had been fragmented by the weight of this experience. Art psychotherapy helped me navigate a kind of loss that didn’t have a clear societal script — and in doing so, it gave me back a sense of wholeness. I’ll always be grateful for that."
