Online Art Psychotherapy
Hello, I'm Danielle Devin, an HCPC registered Art Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor based in Scotland, offering online Art Psychotherapy for adults across Scotland, the UK and Europe.
I work with women navigating life's transitions, including anxiety, burnout, grief, body changes, identity shifts and emotional overwhelm. Together, we create a compassionate therapeutic space where you can slow down, explore your experiences and develop a deeper understanding of yourself.
Art Psychotherapy combines therapeutic conversation with creative expression, recognising that some experiences are difficult to put into words alone.
Alongside talking, we may use simple creative processes to explore thoughts, emotions and patterns in a different way. Where appropriate, I may also integrate gentle body awareness, breathing practices or movement to support regulation and reflection.
No artistic experience is needed. The focus is not on creating beautiful artwork but on using creativity as a way of exploring your thoughts, feelings and experiences. All you need are simple art materials such as paper, pencils, pens, paints or collage materials. Together, we'll create a safe and supportive space where curiosity, understanding and compassion can unfold.

How Art Psychotherapy works
Art Psychotherapy combines therapeutic conversation with creative expression. Some sessions may involve talking throughout, while others may include drawing, painting, collage or other simple creative processes. Every session is guided by what feels most supportive for you.
The artwork is never judged or interpreted in isolation. Instead, we explore it together with curiosity, noticing the images, symbols, colours and themes that emerge and considering what they might mean within the context of your own life and experiences.
Sometimes creativity helps us express feelings that are difficult to put into words. At other times, it simply offers a different perspective, allowing us to slow down, reflect and understand ourselves more deeply.
There is no expectation to be artistic. The focus is not on creating beautiful artwork, but on creating a space where thoughts, emotions and experiences can be explored safely and compassionately.
